Hong Kong · Non-clinical appointment support

Medical appointment escort in Hong Kong

If your family cannot accompany someone to an appointment, you can ask KareLynk to review their non-clinical support needs. This is appointment accompaniment, not nurse-led medical escort, clinical monitoring, an ambulance or cross-border medical transfer. Availability and every service arrangement require separate confirmation.

What an escort may help with

Support depends on the agreed scope, hospital rules, the person's needs, any required authorisation and the confirmed escort. It may include:

  • Meeting at an agreed place and accompanying someone to a hospital, clinic, rehabilitation or treatment location.
  • Help with registration, check-in, waiting, queues and finding the right department.
  • Following the hospital's process to reach examinations, payment counters or the pharmacy.
  • Collecting prescribed medicine only where authorised and feasible. This does not include administering medicine or interpreting a prescription.
  • Non-clinical progress updates to family through the agreed contact method.

What it does not include

For an emergency in Hong Kong, call 999.

  • Diagnosis, medical advice, clinical monitoring or decisions on behalf of healthcare professionals.
  • Injections, administering medicine, wound care or other clinical nursing procedures.
  • Signing treatment consent or making medical decisions for the patient or their legally authorised representative.
  • Ambulance, emergency care or cross-border medical transfer services.

Published escort fees

These are the existing escort-service charges, not a transport fare or an all-inclusive quote. The scope and total must be itemised in a quotation. Service is confirmed only after you accept the quotation and receive explicit confirmation from the operations team.

  • Basic charge: HK$180 per hour.
  • Minimum: 3 hours; HK$540 for the escort-service component.
  • Overtime: HK$90 per 30 minutes.
  • Requests less than 24 hours before the service starts: HK$100 surcharge, only if accepted and confirmed.
  • Third-party transport, parking, tolls and approved expenses are separate and itemised in the quotation.

Prepare for the later service review

Keep these details ready for the review stage; do not include sensitive passenger or medical information in your first email:

  • Appointment date, reporting time and hospital or clinic.
  • Mobility and communication support needed, and the parts of the visit where help is requested.
  • Main family contact, desired progress updates and matters that only the patient, an authorised person or healthcare professionals can handle.

Language and communication needs

Tell the team about language or communication needs. A person's language skills, availability, time, location and any transport arrangements must be confirmed; this English page does not guarantee an English-speaking escort.

How to enquire

Email support@karelynk.com with your preferred name, contact method and enquiry type only. Do not send a passenger's name, medical records, diagnosis, identity number, full address or other sensitive information in this first email. The email link opens your email app; you choose what to write and send. If it does not open, use the address shown above. An email is an enquiry, not a submitted online request, assigned escort, quotation acceptance or confirmed booking. The team reviews the scope before any arrangement can be confirmed.
